It’s so amazing how things change when you become a mom, some huge things and some things that are almost unnoticeable. I used to hate the month of October…I’ll pause for the shocked and horrified gasps! I have just never been a Halloween person. I thought it was pretty overrated. You see, I’m a huge Christmas person, and the way I see it is you’re either Team Christmas or Team Halloween. Sure you can like both but there’s always a favorite. You’re either spooky and dark or bright and cheerful! Well this is one thing that’s changed since I became a mom. Apparently, you can LOVE both!
Since I had my girls, I love going all out with Halloween decorations. My kids love all the festive scary stuff. My toddler even pretends to scare us on a daily basis.
She’s also been going around saying trick or treat every time we walk up to a door.
I think it’s important to do what I can to make the most of every holiday for my children so they’ll be able to look back on these memories when they’re older. After all, us moms will do anything for our kids. Whatever we once were, or thought we were, changed the instant we held our babies in our arms. We became a better version of ourselves, the best version of the mother our baby needs. That’s why I try and remember how important the little things are like taking my kids trick or treating or decorating every square inch of my house. So, if your kid has a meltdown and refuses to wear the costume you spent a fortune on or your back goes out while carrying your toddler trick or treating…just remember your making memories your kids will have forever!
Have a Happy Halloween, Gorgeous!
