Skin Care | Part 2 | All the Extras!

Last beauty blog post, we talked all about my night time skin care routine, I have a few extra products I use, just not on a daily basis, but I did want to include them on a list for y’all, lets go ahead and call this the extras!

Let’s start with how I clean my face to begin with! On the days I wear makeup, I start off with my favorite makeup remover wipes at the moment, * Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes

I have tried the Clean and Clear Night Time Towelettes and I just didn’t like them. To be honest, they burned my face a little afterwards.

They were “lavender scented” for relaxation and night time so that’s my own fault I suppose, maybe the scent did not agree with my face but I normally love lavender scented things and swear by it because of how calming it can be but they just did not work well for me. With the Neutrogena Towelettes, they work pretty good unless you’re wearing waterproof eye makeup, then it becomes a bit of a chore so I use the * Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover Pads; it takes some effort but works.

Suffer from Acne? We all do at some point, the trick is to catch it right when it is forming and use the * Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for on Spot Treatment. I do feel like this works as long as you catch the pimple right when it appears on your face. I leave it on my face before bed and rinse it off in the morning.

I hate the smell but that’s probably because it’s supposed to be heavy duty to dry out the pimple. Dip a Q-tip into the serum at the bottom (make sure not to shake the bottle as the liquid and pink serum are supposed to remain separate) and apply to the new pimple and the pimple will fade in a couple days.

I try to use a mask once a week, preferably twice on a good week. I really enjoy the mud masks over the sheet masks because I always feel like they just do a better job. Although I do see how the feeling of separating a sheet mask from your face can feel like you’re pulling more out ( I do stand by these) but some feel like the just sit on the skin and never tighten.

I would say it’s more about finding the right mask for you. Right now I really like the Freeman’s brand. My favorite is the * Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Mask by Freeman. You can buy the individual sample packs at your local grocery, Ulta, Sephora, etc. for a dollar or two but to save your self some coin go ahead and invest in the tube when you find one you love. As you get more product, you can even get two tubes for about $12, which is about a dollar an ounce!

Whatever “Extras” you do choose make sure they are hydrating, help unclog pores, help illuminate the skin, and perhaps are anti-stress related for us busy mama’s out there.

**Identify any amazon affiliated links. Buy purchasing off one of these links I do collect a small percentage but it does not cost you any extra money to use one of these links. Everything I have listed is and stated is true and my own individual opinions about these products. I was no paid or sponsored to write this blog post.
